Yōkai 05:30
I’ve lost the fight, I can’t remind Blurred veil in my eyes Shards of deep pain I cannot move, and barely breath A noise of terror Still rings in my head I scream at nothing, it is all vain By myself I wonder if These scars are real And suddenly I can feel, a deep hunger I forget my old times I can’t face the light

Whispers 07:42
Living between dimensions Persists the endless hunger She’s sitting on a chair With the voices of disorder Into infinity Of whispers Wander the memories Of the damned souls and creatures She stares at the emptiness The voices are getting louder Years and weeks, endless days The trail of words never ends And through the scream she’s given an order Her chair fell down it’s been so long And at dusk came the thunder She had a last vision of her mother The sorrow, the pain As a spirit, she remains The walls, the curtains And at dawn, she’ll rise again

Południca 06:04
Dancing in the sun, She sings her grief and pain Into the wheat fields, She turns and turns again The pain is eternal The wounds are wide opened She can’t remember The child she was is dead But she dances in the sun She tries to reach the light The blood from the fights She won’t fulfill this hate
6.
Północnica 06:16
The scream of a martyr The loss of a promise Wandering shadow Reflecting the moonlight Incantations Into the night Her soul has taken another path The stars no longer enlighten her eyes She cries until a new sunrise She will never shine again, she has taken another man, another life.

Banshee 06:38
One ring for all those things I could not bring and make you feel One kiss, one last goodbye In the night I saw you leave Together we used to sleep Until the dawn, into the deep In a heartbeat you disappeared May you love me endlessly I would die by your side, I will see you again This time is lost, now I wander by myself I see no footsteps in the night Struggling to hear the voice of god I only have this memory The promise that we keep unreal And then I see you floating in the air As a star you embrace the sky The weight of sadness and all these years For one last time I can hear your scream You will stay beside me, We’ll be one again This time is lost, now you have to forgive yourself

about

Close to the post-rock and post-punk scenes, the sound of Yōkai stands between the massive and brutal aspect of a typical Doom riff and the melancholic relief you can find in modern post-rock.

A core driven by drums and a powerful synthetic bass, atop of which guitars intertwine to generate sharp rhythms and disenchanted melodies. Whereas texts portray the tragic aspect of spirits locked between two worlds.
